 Ngarda proudly supports the following community projects and initiatives.

Ngarda Goannas

The Ngarda Goannas are an under 17’s football team sponsored by Ngarda.  This football team was formed by choosing Indigenous youth under 17 from communities of the Pilbara-Ngarda Ngarli Yarndu areas.  They play an annual game against the Western Desert Warriors which is also a under 17’s team of the Western Pilbara sponsored by Newcrest Mining.  They compete for a shield called the Western Desert Shield.  This annual game is played as a curtain raiser to the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers Derby.

Ya Mad FX

Ya Mad Fx is a modelling and dance group located in Roebourne for young Indigenous girls 13-17 years of age.  These girls are recruited from Roebourne and surrounding communities.  This group encourages the girls to have confidence to pursue careers in their chosen fields, it also teaches them deportment and grooming.
