Ngarda's vision is to reach 85% Indigenous employment in 2007

Ngarda provides a unique opportunity to share the wealth generated by new projects with the Pilbara community. A powerful demonstration of Ngarda's success is the up-skilling of Indigenous employees, with many going on to further their new careers with other mining companies. Whilst this can be problematic for Ngarda, it is a dilemma the company is happy to have.


Shareholder Ngarda Ngarli Yarndu Foundation has been established to direct all profits from its shares back ito the Indigenous community for the development of cultural and commercial projects.

Ngarda Civil & Mining Pty Ltd also contributes to the Pilbara region with the establishment of its Port Hedland office. The workforce is recruited from the region using local employment recruiting services.


Through the support of Indigenous Business Australia and the Ngarda Ngarli Yarndu Foundation, Ngarda Civil & Mining Pty Ltd is able to provide a professional and cost effective service fully involving the local Indigenous communities through employment and training opportunities.
